LCS Events

General Interest Meetings – At the beginning of each semester, Tufts students have the opportunity to meet all our program coordinators and sign up for more information. This is your chance to ask questions and get details about any of our programs that sound interesting to you! Additionally, we will advertise any open positions on our directional staff. Attending a general interest meeting is the best way to get involved with LCS, so stay tuned to TuftsLife during the first weeks of each semester!

LCS Vegas Semi-Formal – Held each fall since X in the Back Bay Hilton, LCS Vegas is a chance to get off campus, have fun, and support a great cause! In 2011, X students helped raise $2,250 for the West Medford Community Center.

Careers in the Common Good – Each spring, LCS partners with Career Services to bring alumni involved in the public and non-profit sectors to campus. In 2012, 150 students connected to over 30 alumni working in areas as diverse as conservation, health care, energy policy, education, and philanthropy. If you’re interested in learning more about what it’s like have a career serving the common good, keep an eye out for more information as the spring approaches.

FWOYDA (Faculty Waits On You Dinner and Auction) – Come bid on dozens of great auction items while being served a delicious meal by your favorite Tufts faculty members! Past prizes have included: signed sports memorabilia, dinners at local restaurants, Red Sox tickets, and more. 100% of the night’s proceeds directly benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition (SHC). In the spring of 2012, over $3,000 were donated to the SHC, helping them purchase a walk-in freezer for their food pantry.
