HIV/AIDS Initiative

About Us

HIV/AIDS Initiative aims to bring awareness about issues concerning HIV and AIDS to Tufts’ campus through dialogue and action. Our events and projects are planned to provoke thorough and intersectional discussion and action in order to confront stigma surrounding these conditions in the Tufts’ community and greater society. In past years, we have supported the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts’ Youth on Fire – a program that gives free HIV and STI testing to homeless and street involved youth in Boston and Cambridge – by volunteering and fundraising through red ribbon sales. This year, we are hoping to introduce a film and discussion series of movies relating to HIV and AIDS. Additionally, we plan to host a large event with performances and speakers for World AIDS Day in December and another in April for “Get Yourself Tested” month.
