LANDesk Management Suite is a tool with which assists Tufts IT departments in remotely managing computers.
Among other features, the product, which is installed as a program on each computer at Tufts, allows for:
- Remote Control by a technician to the customer’s computer (access can be approved only by the customer)
- Software Management: Provides the ability to install or update software remotely without impacting the customer
- Patch Management: Provides the ability to patch software for improved security
Privacy of the customer’s data on the system is maintained and technicians only gain access to a system when the customer approves the access.
