OIT highly recommends at least a 3 year warranty on your computer. If your computer is purchased through OIT, it will have either a  3 or 4 year warranty.  If your computer is a laptop, the warranty will also include coverage for accidental damage. The standard Dell Warranty is a Next Business Day On-site warranty, which guarantees a technician will visit campus to repair your computer.  OIT supports computers for a total of 5 years. During the time that the computer is supported by OIT, but not covered under a warranty, OIT will recommend hardware replacement for failed components and assist with the installation.
