Photoshop CC gives the following error before crashing:
“Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled enhancements which use graphics hardware.”
This error is due to Photoshop CC not supporting your graphics card. In order to solve this problem you will need to prevent Photoshop from using the graphics card for calculations. In order to do that, follow these instructions:
- Start Photoshop CC
- Choose Edit>Preferences (Windows) or Photoshop>Preferences (Mac)
- In the performance panel, deselect Use Graphics Processor
If your work requires a lot of processing power (manipulating very large images, applying a lot of filters, etc.) you may want to try to change how Photoshop uses the graphics card. The instructions can be found on the Adobe website at: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cs6-gpu-faq1.html#cs6_features
