UIT’s Tufts OnLine provides students with a drop-off service for computer repairs. In response to feedback from past customers, TOL is pleased to announce two new website features that will make the repair process faster and easier than ever.
The “How Busy Is TOL” link on the TOL menu will take students to a page with information about the work queue in the service center. This will help students to better anticipate wait time for repairs. It specifically lets students know how many computers are in the queue to be fixed and if TOL has reached their maximum limit for the day.
The “Computer Repair Status” link on the TOL menu will take students to a login page where they are prompted to supply their UTLN (Universal Tufts Login Name, e.g. jsmith01). Once this info has been provided, the student will be presented with a screen that will tell him whether his computer is currently being worked on, if it is still in the queue, or if it is waiting for parts. It will also let him know if his repair has been completed.
The TOL website is located at: student.support.tufts.edu
