If you have ever wondered what goes into running a radio station, Andy Sayler (E’11), general manager of Tufts’ freeform radio station WMFO, is happy to show you.
Launched in 1970 at 91.5 FM, WMFO is staffed by a mix of Tufts students and local community volunteers. The station is managed by students with the assistance of a faculty advisor and appointed volunteers.
Recently, Sayler took us on a tour of the station, going through the ins and outs of how music gets from a CD onto the official WMFO playlist.
Video production by Matt DiGirolamo (E’11) and Kaitlin Provencher, Web Communications.
