Quilting for a Cause

In the days leading up to Tufts’ World AIDS Day celebration, members and friends of Tufts LGBT took over the Crafts Center hoping to make their mark on the world’s largest ongoing community art project: The AIDS Memorial Quilt. Founded in 1987, the quilt and its more than 40,000 colorful panels, memorializes the lives of those lost to AIDS.

In honor of the actual day, Dec. 1, community health lecturer Kevin Irwin gave a talk on “The Medicalization of HIV/AIDS: Prospects and Consequences.” Share in a recap of both these events here:
