Water Diplomacy at Tufts partners with several national and international academic institutions and organizations. These organizations have a strong focus on addressing complex water problems. Our national partners include a range of institutions from federal and state agencies to consulting companies. These partners are chosen for their unique regional strengths and expertise as well as their willingness to host and provide meaningful real world exposure to water conflicts to our students. Our international partners bring in water conflicts expertise from several highly water stressed areas of the world. Our initial activities will focus on water problems in United States and South Asia. We chose these regions because of their wide ranges of historical and emerging water problems as well as our existing collaborations and ongoing research activities. These regional foci will allow us to compare and contrast nature and origin of water disputes and their resolution in developing and developed country contexts.
