On the Frontline: Overcoming the Challenges of Conservation

Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine’s student group WAZE, (Wildlife, Aquatics, Zoo and Exotics) presents a one day symposium “On the Frontline: Overcoming the Challenges of Conservation”. The symposium will take place on Saturday, April 30th 2011 at the Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston Campus.

The day will begin with a diverse set of speakers who will discuss their experiences in cultivating and enhancing conservation.  Lecture topics will investigate how policy, economics, ecology, medicine, culture and anthropology can intertwine to overcome current and future challenges in conservation. These disciplines will be considered individually and collectively for the insights they can provide in developing solutions.  The day will conclude with a session of roundtable discussions to address the most widespread challenges facing global conservation and to brainstorm potential solutions, while establishing innovative approaches for future conservation initiatives.

I heard that it was pretty interesting in this symposium, but unfortunately I missed it, it will be nice if there is another one organized again, have you heard of something like this?

Very nice blog. You should really update it more often, but it was nice to go through.
