The symposium will take place on Saturday, April 30th 2011 at the Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston Campus.

The day will begin with a diverse set of speakers who will discuss their experiences in cultivating and enhancing conservation.  Lecture topics will investigate how policy, economics, ecology, medicine, culture and anthropology can intertwine to overcome current and future challenges in conservation. These disciplines will be considered individually and collectively for the insights they can provide in developing solutions.  The day will conclude with a session of roundtable discussions to address the most widespread challenges facing global conservation and to brainstorm potential solutions, while establishing innovative approaches for future conservation initiatives.
