Eric Archibald - Program Coordinator
Eric has been involved with T.W.O. since participating as a Freshman in 2009. He has since been a member of Support Staff and led two Backpacking trips for the program. T.W.O. has been a huge part of his time at Tufts and Eric is ecstatic to be able to work with the program for another summer after graduating in May with a Bachelors in Psychology. Hailing from Denver, Colorado, Eric loves all things outdoorsy and has a special soft spot in his heart for jagged mountain peaks and bright red sunsets. This summer Eric is looking forward to having all sorts of new outdoor adventures as well as planning a great Pre-Orientation program for incoming students!
Orli Gottlieb- Program Coordinator
Orli came to Tufts from New Hampshire in 2009. The day after she arrived to campus, she was sent on a bus back to New Hampshire to participate in a T.W.O. trip! Orli graduated this past spring with a degree in Environmental Engineering. She is ecstatic about the outdoors, whitewater kayaking, fluid mechanics, her puppy Kazoo, and T.W.O.! Orli has led two T.W.O. trips (ha) and is stoked to have the opportunity to coordinate the program for the incoming class of Jumbos!
Valerie Cleland- TWO Support Staff Coordinator (Mama)
Val Cleland, know to staff as “Mama” is originally from the great state of Oregon, but has called 3 continents home. At Tufts, she is looking to major in Environmental Science and International Relations. This is her third year as a part TWO from being a freshman, to support staff, to Mama! In addition to romping in the outdoors, she leads the Tufts Idea Exchange (TEX) and is a member of the Institute for Global Leadership’s Synaptic Scholar Program. For the summer of 2012, she went to the Swiss Alps to work with famous eco-explorer Mike Horn and will be working with Harvard’s Environmental Law program this summer. She cooks in her spare time and loves to dream up adventures and is happiest when underwater. She loves Tufts, she adores TWO, and can’t wait for the summer to end!
Christa Ricker- Program Director
Christa joined TWO in the spring of 2012. She is a native of NH with a love for all things outdoors, but most specifically bouldering and winter camping. Christa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education from the University of New Hampshire and is currently pursuing her Master’s in the same program, which she recently learned is considered a “double wildcat”. Awesome.
Christa’s main focus in her college studies was on college Outdoor Orientation Programs, and she is so happy to be put that passion to use here at Tufts!
