Brief Overview: Our preliminary design involves the creation of an adjustable bunion relief sleeve that is a lightweight and rewearable sock with customizable hydrogel inserts, and an adjustable velcro-secured elastic band that, with a 3D-printed wheel, provides customizable and adjustable pressure through manual turning for optimal toe alignment and pain relief. This would ideally be designed for all-day comfort and compatibility with various footwear. Moreover, it addresses bunions and foot pain with flexible cushions and personalization features, including the potential for the future goal of an app synchronization and sensors for enhanced tracking and alignment accuracy.
