The Bennett Memorial Scholarship Winner: Rachel Furash

Rachel Furash (A20), a double major in Economics and Psychology, excels in the classroom and on the Varsity Volleyball team. Last season, as the starting setter, Rachel helped lead Tufts to a NESCAC championship for the first time in over twenty years, and during her time at Tufts the team had three undefeated regular seasons. Rachel also contributes to the community; she redesigned the website and marketing materials for a nonprofit called Breakthrough Greater Boston, a nonprofit that provides free after-school and summer programs for Boston children and teens.

The Bennett Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students who best exemplify the qualities of true sportsmanship.
