The Ivan Galantic Prize Winner: Megan Rivkin

Megan Rivkin (A20) is a gifted playwright and talented director who is majoring in Drama and minoring in Political Science.  As a generous and dynamic leader of a student theatre organization, Megan has impressed Professor Heather Nathans with her “rare gift of being able to adhere to the integrity of her own vision while still participating in a dialogue throughout the creative process.” Megan has a true instinct for what makes an effective scene and never shies away from the hard work of writing, workshopping, taking feedback, and re-writing. While busy writing, producing, and directing her own plays, she has worked steadily to support staged readings and workshops of her peers’ new plays.

The Ivan Galantic Special Achievement in Humanities Prize is awarded to students who reach for wisdom, not simply knowledge.
