Rebecca Batorsky, Ph.D
Senior Bioinformatics Specialist
I’m an innovative and collaborative bioinformatician/computational biologist focused on building robust, scalable pipelines for generation and analysis of NGS data. As part of research computing, I’m working on making bioinformatics accessible to researchers at Tufts.
I’ve developed and validated pipelines for RNA and DNA NGS data for wide ranging applications: variant calling for somatic and germline, mitochondrial and structural variants, quantifying differential gene expression, joint genotyping, as well as variant filtering, prioritization and annotation. I have experience with curation of many public data sources and use of such data to automate variant prioritization for clinical workflows.
