In this draft, we focused on making the edits suggested to us by Janet. By getting specific feedback, we were able to do research to change some of our ‘x’ values to actual values that would reflect real-world conditions. We also incorporated feedback about verification and validation to make this a more complete traceability matrix.

This file shows our draft of the completed Traceability Matrix, including Design Ouputs, Verification, and Validation. The User Needs and Design Inputs have also been updated to match what we have learned in performing the risk analysis and other activities. We will update the outputs, verification, and validation columns after we receive feedback on them in class this week.
Updated Design Inputs

This file shows our list of design inputs corresponding to our user needs and updated based on feedback received in class last week. We made the most additions to the input for the “easy to use” need, including limits on the amount of instructions, food input, and cleaning time. We also added measurable dimension limits to the size need in addition to the volume limit. In addition, we added two new user needs after starting to brainstorm ideas (meal size and properties of the food) and included design inputs for those.

This doc shows our updated list of user needs based on feedback received in class last week. We tried to make the needs more specific to our project without being solution-focused and to think more specifically about what users will be doing with our product.
Preliminary User Needs

This doc shows the user needs that we anticipate, and we are planning to ask for feedback from actual users later this week. Some questions we have are how specific the needs should be, what exactly regulatory needs are and how we should address this, and how biocompatibility relates to our problem. We were also wondering if some of the needs we wrote down in different categories are too similar to one another or if it is okay to be specific like this.
