Hello! My name is Hadiya Giwa (she/her pronouns) and I’m excited to be in BME-66 this fall semester!
Here’s a bit about me:
– I’m a junior at Tufts, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and (possibly) minoring in French.
– My parents immigrated from Accra, Ghana but I’ve spent most of my life in central Massachusetts.
– I’m an active member of Tufts Community Union (TCU) Senate where I serve as the Africana Community Senator.
– I have also interned for the Africana Center as Office Support, and I’m looking forward to being alumni chair for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).
Outside of academics and extracurriculars…
– I love embroidery, journaling, and practicing my French!
– I played a lot of soccer in middle and high school and like to play for fun 😀
– I have 3 sisters, one of which is my twin sister who also goes to Tufts!
