Brian Brenner

Professor Brian Brenner – Senior Project Director

Brian Brenner, PE, is a Professor of the Practice at Tufts University, where he teaches structural design courses and participates in research on long term bridge performance.  He is also a consulting engineer with Tighe & Bond in Westwood, Massachusetts.  Mr. Brenner has 40 years of experience, serving as a bridge engineer and project manager on many transportation projects around New England.  He was the Design Manager for the Burns Bridge replacement project in Worcester, Massachusetts.  The deck arch bridge received several national awards, including Best Steel Bridge Design (medium span) from the National Steel Bridge Alliance in 2016.

Ethan Kessler – Co-Project Manager

Ethan Kessler is currently a sophomore studying civil engineering at Tufts University. Ethan is from Long Island, New York and has lived there for his entire life. Since he was a kid, Ethan has been interested in the design and unique features of bridges. He is extremely excited to share his knowledge of bridges with students who have similar passions as him. Ethan’s favorite bridge is the Mario Cuomo Bridge, which spans the Hudson River in Tarrytown, NY. Outside of school, Ethan loves to cook, watch sports such as hockey, football, tennis, and baseball, and spend time with family and friends.

Milo Kiddugavu – Co-Project Manager

Milo Kiddugavu is a current sophomore at Tufts University studying Civil Engineering with minors in Architectural Studies as well as Africana Studies. He is currently based in Los Angeles California, but has lived in San Diego, Baltimore, and Eastern Africa. He has always loved open sandbox simulators that allowed creative ideas to run wild: so finding his way to design in both an aesthetic and structural sense was no surprise. He hopes to give students the opportunity to engage with engineering and the inspiration to pursue civil engineering on a professional level. Outside of academics, Milo is an avid EPL, NBA, & NFL fan; enjoys playing guitar of all genres; and wood working.
