Initiative 2-1: Define CEEO onboarding requirements for different CEEO member groups (e.g. faculty, staff, students) and a timeline for completion for CEEO members. This initiative will identify the different CEEO member groups and outline what onboarding requirements are necessary for each group and the timeline for completion of onboarding requirements.
GOALS
Create onboarding documents for different Tufts CEEO member groups.
COMMITTEE
A committee of faculty, staff, and students was formed to begin this work and operations staff and leadership continue it currently.
PURPOSE
Survey results and group discussions indicated a need for better onboarding documentation to increase a sense of belonging for people who are new to Tufts CEEO.

- Updated and revised summer welcome packet
- Operations new hire checklist was updated
- Revised summer orientation based on feedback from previous years
- Teaching Fellow training and onboarding were expanded based on feedback from the previous year
- Mafalda Gueta provided group work training as part of summer orientation and led DEIJ training for teaching fellows
- Improved communication and transparency about summer job expectations

- Drafted different onboarding documents for new hires as well as managing supervisors.
