Biography

Miquel Muñoz Cabré is the William R. Moomaw Visiting Assistant Professor of International Energy and Resource Policy at the Fletcher School, Tufts University. He is also a Senior Research Scholar at Boston University’s Global Development Policy Center. His research focuses on renewable energy policy and finance, climate policy, sustainable infrastructure, and the social implications of the energy transition. Much of his recent work centers in Latin America and Africa.

Muñoz Cabré was a program officer at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). He consults for international organizations such as the World Bank, UNIDO, and IRENA, and has worked for research institutions and think tanks including the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), REN21, the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN), and the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT).

Muñoz Cabré was a Fulbright Scholar and holds a PhD on Environmental Science & Public Policy, a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Environmental Policy, and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management and Ecological Economics, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics. He speaks English, Catalan, Spanish and French.
