Postdoctoral Scholar, Rising Power Alliances/Coalitions

Description

The Fletcher School is seeking candidates with a PhD in political science or conflict resolution to join our Rising Power Alliances Project team and conduct research on rising power alignments and their impact on the United States. The Rising Power Alliances Project is a grant-funded project that examines theoretical and empirical aspects of rising power alliances/coalitions, especially the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), and systematically engages non-Western perspectives and policies of the BRICS countries across various issue areas. We are looking for an excellent researcher with a global outlook who will conduct research on U.S. policymaking toward rising powers. Qualifications

Doctorate is required, and applicants must have received their Ph.D. degree in 2016 or later. Preference for candidates with publishing experience, understanding of U.S. foreign and defense policy and expertise in methodology.

The position is for the 2021/2022 academic year ending on June 1, 2022. The salary is $52,704 per year and includes health benefits. Review of applications will begin on May 17, 2021 and will continue until the position is filled.
