Academic Advisors

Each incoming Fletcher degree candidate is assigned a faculty advisor. We strongly encourage you to reach out to your faculty advisor at the beginning of the semester to set up a meeting, but it is not required. Your faculty advisor will be listed in SIS once assigned. Contact information can be found in the Fletcher directory. When setting up the meeting, it is helpful to bring an updated c.v./resume. Some faculty members may also request that you bring additional pertinent information (i.e. transcripts, statement of purpose, etc.).

There are many resources within the Fletcher community to help you think about course selection and planning your academic activities while at Fletcher.  Many faculty members are happy to meet with students who have not been assigned as their advisee to discuss academic and professional goals. You may also want to speak with an academic advisor in the Fletcher Registrar’s Office, talk with other students, and visit the Fletcher website.

Please note that your assigned faculty advisor does not have to be your capstone project supervisor. As you begin thinking about your capstone project in your first or second semester, you should meet with the Fletcher faculty who may serve as a capstone project supervisor to discuss possible ideas for your capstone.
