Why I chose Fletcher: I chose Fletcher because of its international reputation, its sense of community, and the institution’s attention to students’ needs. More broadly, I was attracted to Fletcher because it’s where I thought I could grow the most as a person and as an international affairs practitioner. Just by visiting campus a few times and interacting with current and past students, I could tell that the relationships formed while in Medford – with other peers, professors and alumni – were truly special, and would lead me to see the complexities of the world in a new way.

Something that surprised me about Fletcher: The amount of events on campus and opportunities available to students is what has surprised me most at Fletcher. Keeping up with everything that’s going on outside of class turned into a part-time job! Between prominent outside speakers, career workshops organized by the ever-active Office of Career Services, club meetings, cultural events, sports games and social gatherings, students really have an abundance of possibilities to explore the world and make the best of their experience at Fletcher.
