Why Fletcher: During my 7 years in the Japanese government, I worked with a variety of specialists such as lawyers, economists, business consultants and engineers. Then I realized that the key to formulating policies that impact international issues lies in the collaboration of specialists. What is important to make that possible, I believe, is broad knowledge combined with intercultural communication skills. Fletcher is the best school to broaden my knowledge base and improve my intercultural communication skills. Fletcher has more international law courses than many law schools, and more international business courses than business schools. The second language requirement made me believe that Fletcher is where people with intercultural experience come together. Lastly, the greater Boston area seemed to be nice place to live with my new-born baby and wife (and it is true!)

On how Fletcher will contribute to my goals: Aiming to make the world a better place for future generations, I would like to make international economic policies a catalyst for specialists from various fields. Multidisciplinary knowledge combined with international communication skills, which I’m learning at the Fletcher, will become the foundation to achieve my career goals.
