We’ve seen how Crispr/Cas9 systems can very easily be leveraged to achieve highly selective cleavage of double stranded DNA at a higher efficiency than previous technologies such as zinc finger nucleases or TALENs.  And we’ve seen a few pathways where the technology is adapted for different types of genome-editing and modification.  But the Crispr/Cas9 system can also be used to directly translate to new therapies and cures for diseases, and has been shown to have potential as a cure for HIV.  Several delivery methods are under investigation.

    I heard that many of our diseases that are inherent in us even before birth are associated with DNA
