Pre-post student learning gains

We have collaborated with PARE instructors to create a pre-post student learning gains assessment. If you’d like to use this instrument, contact Adam Kleinschmit, a PARE instructor at the University of Dubuque who is leading this assessment effort.

Student retrospective assessment

Our ongoing research project involves using a modified version of the Undergraduate Research Student Self-Assessment (Weston, T. J., & Laursen, S. L. 2015) to gain understanding of student perception of their PARE research experience. All PARE instructors are asked to provide about 10-15 minutes of class time to allow their students to participate at the end of their PARE-related classroom research.
