I believe that collective data sharing, done ethically and strategically through alliances like DAFMA, is the single most powerful tool we have to generate the global and continental insights necessary for effective climate action and sustainable food systems. We need shared, robust data to move beyond regional pilots and deliver scalable solutions that are resilient to environmental shocks.

Creation and enforcement of the regulatory environment and other public-sector actions are the result of interaction between government and the private sector, creating opportunities for data analysis to inform dialogue and improve the enabling environment. DAFMA’s network includes a variety of talented individuals who support this enabling environment, who periodically share their perspectives with the businesses that constitute our consortium members. These participants include representatives from AGRA, Haramaya University, Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization, University of Ibadan, and other organizations.
