About
Our mission is to provide a safe and open environment for LGBTQ+ identifying students and ally dental students to connect and socialize. We work as a group to expand our community outreach and partnerships with local organizations to promote oral health awareness within the LGBTQ+ community. We also organize community service events that provide oral health education and referral resources to LGBTQ+ communities, who experience heightened barriers to dental and healthcare access. We recently changed our name to Spectrum in an effort to acknowledge the fluid nature of human sexuality; and we hope by doing so we’ll have more members of our dental community join our mission. Regardless of prior education or background, whether you identify with the community or are an ally, we encourage you to join our e-list for news about upcoming club events and other current news pertaining to the Tufts LGBTQ community.
