The Nordics are the world’s most advanced digital economies – Business Insider Nordic

In the Digital Economy and Society Index 2017 the European Commission’s Digital Single Market project found Denmark, Sweden and Finland to be the most advanced digital economies in the EU. A study by The Fletcher School at Tuft’s University goes even further, finding the top five most advanced digital economies in the whole world to be (in descending order): Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark and Finland, as listed in the Digital Evolution Index 2017.

The index is based on more than 170 indicators, includes 60 countries, and measures country performance since 2008 (more on the methodology can be found here).
