Ideathon: About

In 2020, the pain point we hear about the most from students, alumni and other innovators and entrepreneurs in the community is this:

“How might I meet people like me?”

As entrepreneurs and innovators, we have come a long way in a year in terms of adapting how we work and interact to a remote environment. One thing that we lost, however, is the serendipitous interactions that comes about when people bump into each other in the corridor, while getting coffee, or discussing topics of mutual in networking events.

At TEC, we have the same pain points as our students and alumni. We want to meet our constituency… but there is little opportunity to do so. And so, we came up with the Ideathon as a way to get people to mingle, talk about problems worth solving – and then actually form teams and start solving these problems.

This is the first time we are doing this at Tufts. There will only ever be one inaugural Ideathon cohort! Come on in and meet people like you, and let’s co-create this event together!
