Eagle Eye Institute-Internship

Volunteer and internship opportunity for ENVS students:

Love the outdoors? Interested in social and environmental justice? Help run after-school environmental education programs for urban youth with Eagle Eye Institute! Eagle Club is a new initiative to bring together environmentally-minded Tufts students and urban young people friom Medford, Somerville and Cambridge. As an Eagle Club volunteer you will spend one day a week in a Boys and Girls Club, running an hour-long program for middle school students. Activities include: nature games, teambuilding activities, urban tree walks and more! You will be going outside as much as possible. As a volunteer you will receive support from Eagle Eye staff in running the program, but there are ample opportunities for creativity and leadership!

Commitment: 1 day/week (about 2 hours including transportation time), plus volunteer orientation on Friday September 30. All classes and majors are welcome.

Come to the general interest meeting Monday September 26 at 9 pm in the Rabb Room (Tisch College) and get FREE PIZZA!

*If you wish to complete an internship with Eagle Eye Institute, there are other opportunities available for you to complete the 100 hours required for the Environmental Studies major in addition to Eagle Club. These include organizing a one-day Learn About Forests program and helping run the annual Hike-a-thon fundraiser in October.
