Environment America Fellowship

by Ann Greaney-Williams on February 6, 2012

Environment America is currently looking for Tufts seniors and recent graduates to apply for a Fellowship.

Bruce Ratain, recent Tufts Alumni, is currently a fellow with Environment America, based in Chicago. He is starting a spring recruitment push at Tufts for his fellowship, and would love to speak to students about his experience as a young alumnus in the environmental policy/ advocacy field, and to help let students know about our program and other opportunities.

He has been coordinating their energy program for Environment Illinois, and is currently running a bill he’s drafted in the state legislature this session to reduce Illinois’ oil consumption. He does a combination of state and federal work, and everything from lobbying to grassroots organizing, so I can speak to those diverse scales and spheres of work.

We are planning to have Bruce come to Tufts the week of March 6th. ENVS will keep you updated on the progress on this.
