To qualify for an internship position with Savannah River Remediation, LLC, (SRR): Resumes should be submitted as early as possible. Applicant resumes will be reviewed by the selection review panel in February for consideration. All selected applicants will be contacted by March 31st. If you are selected to participate in the SRR internship program, additional information will be requested such as: SRR employment application, references and official transcripts. You will be assigned to GET training and DAT before badging and commencement of assignment. Work Hours: A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and 4 days on week BB). Work week excludes SRR holidays and interns are eligible for holiday pay. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch. New Hire Requirements: • Must pass General Employment Training (GET) |
Job Description: | URS Corporation is seeking a Student Intern – Engineering to be based in our Aiken, SC location.
Position Description: The intern will support ongoing activities of the assigned project group and will be expected to perform meaningful work tasks in support of the organization. Guidance will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Interns will prepare and present a final project to the SRR management team. Deliverable may include a specific project, task or presentation reflecting key objectives learned throughout the internship. Assignments will be available for students in Engineering disciplines including: Chemical, Civil, Design, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Structural or Applied Science.
