Intern at Mass Dept. of Public Health

Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health seeks four undergrad or graduate student interns to assist with various assignments in environmental health programs within the Bureau for Environmental Health.   Interns will assist in research efforts (e.g., evaluation, disease surveillance activities) being conducted in environmental health program in the Bureau. This is a full-time, temporary position.

Duties may consist of but not limited to:

collecting health or environmental data, data entry, environmental public health tracking related tasks, data cleaning, data base management, clinical coordination or research tasks, statistical analysis, health survey administration, programmatic phone coverage, report writing, graphics and literature searches.

Specific Duties:
1. Researches request for information.
2. Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, and learn to interview, research, and support the programs.
3. Create written reports that clearly and accurately describe survey findings.
4. Data entry, copying, and filing within the department.
5. Answering phones.

Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled in university in courses related to Public Health.

Salary/Wage: $11.00 to $17.00 per hour depending on qualifications. Possibility of renewals contingent on performance and funding.
