EPN Coordinator Position
Coordinator, Environmental Protection Network
The Environmental Protection Network (EPN) is a newly formed group of volunteers with considerable experience in federal and state environmental protection, who have come together to protect the institutions of environmental protection under attack by the Trump Administration.
EPN is seeking a Washington, DC-based Coordinator to support that effort. EPN is organized into a 501c3 Board, an Executive Directorate and various subject-matter Committees or Teams drawing on contributions from a wider national network of volunteers. The Coordinator is a part-time position (20 hours/week initially, and possibly up to 4 days/week depending on needs and funds available) to provide critical administrative and management skills as EPN solidifies its operations and identifies opportunities. Candidate must be flexible and willing to discharge a wide range of responsibilities at the immediate direction of EPN¹s 3-person Executive Directorate.
Responsibilities could expand if additional funding is obtained. Major Areas of Responsibility€Administrative and management support for the EPN Board, Executive Directorate and Committees/Teams€Support to EPN fundraising consultant€Support outreach efforts of EPN communications and social media team€Assist with a range of EPN organizational and other activities including strategic planning, work plan development and documentation as required.

€Emphasize quality, continuous improvement,and high performance.
Specific Responsibilities
€Assist in organizing teleconferences and providing summary minutes
€Assist Fundraising consultant in preparing proposals and disseminating as appropriate
€Ensure compliance to established norms and regulatory and governmental concerns
€Interact with/report regularly to the Executive Directorate and/or Board as appropriate on activities and progress
€Assist with strategic planning, work plan development and other organizational tasks
€Manage contacts for expert assistance, assist with website and social media.
Job Requirements
€Broad knowledge of environmental organizations
€Experience with federal government/institutions of environmental protection
€Experience in office management and how not-for-profit organizations work
€Social media, organization/management, IT skills and related skills
€Willingness to work at home
