Administrative Assistant / Outreach Coordinator New Position!
We seek an individual who is energized and enthusiastic about Food Link¹s mission. You must be able to work independently, take direction from others, prioritize tasks and solve problems. This is a new position and important to Food Link¹s next stage of growth. It is an amazing opportunity to work for a hands-on, do what it takes, professional and passionate non-profit.
This position is 40 hours per week including some weekends and nights. Work is performed in Arlington and remotely. This position reports to Food Link¹s Board President.
About Food Link
Food Link (www.foodlinkma.org) is an Arlington-based food rescue non-profit that uses the power of volunteers to collect fresh nutritious food from food retailers and distribute it to local agencies serving residents in need. We serve 30 social service agencies including afterschool programs, programs for at-risk youth, low income housing facilities, homeless shelters, food pantries and senior centers.
Responsibilities
In this position, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Administrative: Provide the full range of administrative and organizational support to the Executive Director and the Board, including schedules, calendar, correspondence, presentations, minutes, and reports.
Development and Marketing: Using the Little Green Light database, enter donations, prepare acknowledgements, coordinate mailings, prepare and run reports, and keep records up to date. Help prepare and mail donation solicitations and marketing materials. Provide administrative and on-site support for events.
Outreach and Communications: Schedule volunteers for activities other than regular food collection and delivery. Coordinate and participate in outreach activities. Maintain our social media presence (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), and provide website assistance. Manage monthly newsletter process and contribute to articles. Coordinate the preparation and production of outreach materials, working with designers and printers.
Operations: Manage sorting of dated food, schedule pantry cleanings, compile partner surveys, and learn to be a back-up lead volunteer.
Qualifications

Detail-oriented, flexible, innovative, and good-humored, with a ³do whatever it takes² attitude.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Thorough knowledge of MS Office and Google Drive; appropriately computer savvy with social media and databases.

1-3 years¹ administrative and non-profit experience preferred.
Candidates must have a valid driver¹s license, clean driving record, reliable access to a reliable vehicle, and be able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly.
