Environmental Studies Coordinator
Full-Time, 10-Month, Exempt, Salaried, Administrative Staff Appointment
The Colby College Environmental Studies (ES) program is seeking an environmental studies coordinator beginning October, 2018. Responsibilities include organizing speakers and events, maintaining the program calendar, working with students on program events, communications, internship opportunities, grant-writing and professional development, serving as the ES liaison to relevant on- and off-campus partners, maintaining the ES program newsletters and communications, managing budgets and reporting related to student internship and grants programs, and contributing to developing and maintaining other educational, outreach, and leadership activities for the program to support ES faculty and students. The position reports to the director of the Environmental Studies program.
Colby’s Environmental Studies program is one of the oldest undergraduate environmental programs in the country. Colby College and the ES program have received national recognition for campus sustainability and environmental initiatives. The ES program offers interdisciplinary majors in environmental policy, environmental science, environmental computation, and a minor in environmental studies.
