Holly Hill Farm (Cohasset, MA) is seeking a summer farm intern

Holly Hill Farm is a certified organic, non-profit educational farm located 22 miles (approximately 45 minutes) south of Boston in Cohasset, MA. The property consists of 140 acres (2 acres farmed), several greenhouses, historic buildings, wooded walking trails, and within ½ mile of a beach. We grow organic vegetables, herbs, flowers and seedlings. Our produce is sold at our farm stand, farmers markets and to local restaurants.

This internship is best suited for someone looking to broaden his or her
skills and knowledge of small-scale organic vegetable and flower farming.

The intern will gain experience with:

Latest no-till methods
Direct sowing, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, washing and storing of
crops
Record keeping
Operating a variety of farm tools and equipment
Creatively displaying and marketing produce at markets

The ideal candidate will:

Ability to communicate personal interests and goals about what you want to get out of your experience
Willingness to occasionally collaborate with farm teachers, young adults, and volunteers
Retail experience
Flexibility
Sense of Humor

This is a ten week paid summer internship with flexible start and end dates. The five day work week must include at least one weekend day. Compensation includes $300/biweekly, on-site housing, laundry, internet/utilities. The intern must pass a background check, have a valid driver’s license, be able to lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions.
