Hiring: Naturalist/Educator

At: Alfred B. DelBello Muscoot Farm, Katonah NY 10536

A Westchester County interpretive farm with 50+ livestock located in Somers, New York, is seeking an enthusiastic educators and naturalists to assist with our nature centers’ summer Nature Camps, which operate from June through August to students entering grades Pre-K through nine.

Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to: environmental and natural/human history education for children and may include public interaction and education.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess a love of nature, a willingness to work outdoors, and the ability to communicate effectively. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven history of environmental education or research, though all applications are welcome.

Pre-K group leader and assistant applicants are preferred to have a teaching certificate and experience working with children between the ages of three and five years old.

Requirements
Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug Testing required.

Hours/Salary
The position of Naturalist/Educator is an hourly position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Salary is commensurate with experience.
