The Volpe Center seeks an experienced Civil Engineer with expertise in transportation fuel burn, noise and emissions measurement, modeling and analysis to join the Environmental Measurement & Modeling Division (V-324). The individual will serve as a technical expert for aviation emissions modeling and dispersion, uncertainty quantification, and ties between traffic simulation and emissions modeling. This position is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate works independently but can easily and seamlessly collaborate with peers internal and external to the Volpe Center, and has a passion for both transportation as well as the public’s well-being. You must have superb analytical, problem solving and writing skills and be able to excel in a fast-paced environment.

This position is open to both U.S. Citizens and Federal Employees.
