Groundwork Somerville-Volunteers Wanted

Groundwork Somerville is seeking Substitute Garden Club teachers/assistants on: 10/14 (F, Winter Hill 2:45-5:30), 10/17 (M, Brown 2:45-5:30), 10/18 (T, Edgerly 2:45-4:25), 11/3 (Th, PHA 4:30-6), and 11/4 (F, Kennedy 2:45-5:30).  If you have worked with our After School programming before, please consider helping out!!  We’d love to hear from you even if you don’t have this experience as well.

Bulb Blitz, September 15th, 10am-noon. Please join your friends and neighbors in beautifying our public spaces by planting 2012 bulbs in Somerville! Use this form to sign up–it’s quick and they will not use your information for any other purpose.

Food Day, October 24th, 10:30-1pm: Somerville Public Schools Food Services is planning a special meal and lunch time taste tests in the SPS cafeterias for our city’s part in this national event.  In order to pull off taste tests as so many site, we need your help! Volunteers avaliable from apx. 10:30am-1pm on Monday October 24th are needed to manage the apple taste tests.

Healey School Open Garden Recess, ongoing, 11-1pm. Two adults are required to open the Healey School Garden to students during recess  Volunteer one day per week for the fall to maintain simple guidelines and keep the space safe and fun for students at recess.
