Research technician: Agroecology of insect-plant interactions

The Kaplan Lab (https://www.entm.purdue.edu/ecolab/) in the Department of Entomology at Purdue University (https://ag.purdue.edu/entm/Pages/default.aspx) is seeking applicants for a research technician. This is a one-year full-time position where the individual will be responsible for leading a research project focused on measuring plant physiological responses to insect/pathogen attack, and using this information to test ecological approaches for limiting crop pest damage. This would be an ideal position for a recently graduated student who is trying to gain more research experience before entering graduate school. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications: BS in biology, entomology, plant sciences, agriculture, or related field. Experience working with plants and/or insects is desirable. Ability to work independently.

Start date: January 2019 is ideal, but earlier or later dates are possible.
