Coder | Agriculture Food & Environment/Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning dual Master’s program

Hello!
I’m Becca Lucas, I’m a third year in the Agriculture Food & Environment/Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning dual Master’s program with the Graduate School of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering and the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts.
I’m looking for a student who has experience or is interested in learning how to code qualitative data, using NVivo software and has a background or working familiarity in Sociology (theory). I’m researching farmer identity of farmers who have decided to engage in Farm to School programs in the Mid-Atlantic region. I am using identity theory as an analytical framework for my Master’s thesis and am looking for another coder for inter-rater reliability for analyzing the interview transcriptions.
The ideal candidate would also be familiar with farming and/or agricultural systems, as the interviews are solely with fruit and vegetable farmers and some background knowledge would be useful for both of us!
I estimate that the time required would be a maximum of 24 hours and I can provide $15 an hour with work-study. Ideally this would happen during the month of November.
If you are interested, please send me an email at rebecca.lucas@tufts.edu. Tell me why you are interested, a little bit about yourself, what you are studying/experience with qualitative data analysis, and your availability in November!
I look forward to hearing from you!
