Low-Carbon Conferencing Initiative (Employment Opportunity)
The Tufts Multi-Site Low-Carbon Conference Hosting Initiative (MULCH), with support from Tufts Green Fund, has an employment opportunity for a Tufts student with interests in climate action, social change, marketing, and/or entrepreneurship (generally, or specifically in the conference-hosting industry). We seek to develop a low-carbon conference-hosting service as a partnership between Tufts and several other universities (most likely including the University of Washington and Georgia Tech). Because the project is now re-starting after a COVID-related pause, the tasks for the position are open for discussion and can be tailored to the student’s interests and skills, offering an opportunity for a website or marketing product in the student’s portfolio. Employment period is late April through late June 2021, with part-time hours subject to negotiation based on the student’s schedule. The position may be organized as an internship or just as hourly employment. Skills sought: writing, website development, video communication, and/or environmental action organizing. Seeking somebody who takes initiative. Contact parke.wilde@tufts.edu with a resume (optional) and email description of interests and skills.
