- Professor Koegel used Echo360 Personal Capture to make 3 videos per class (split up each class into three topics to make it more digestible), which she loaded to her biology course site. She also assigned Learning Catalytics self-paced modules for the students to use to answer questions (note that this tool requires a license for the semester).
- Professor McVey used Camtasia to record 3 20-minute screencasts to make up a 1.25 hour biology lecture. He also used the Trunk Chat Room to hold virtual office hours on Monday.
- Professor Chew used ProfCast to record a biology lecture (but she plans to use QuickTime next time instead). This same professor also assigned Learning Catalytics self-paced modules for the students to use to answer questions (again, this tool requires a license for the semester).
- Professor Rosso-O’Loughlin used WebEx to hold a live Spanish class. This was successful for most of the class, but some students did have issues with connection or with audio.
- Professor Curtis also used WebEx to hold a live virtual session of her religion class. To avoid possible audio issues, she called into the meeting and spoke over the phone, rather than using the microphone on her computer.
- Professor Rogers used join.me three times to hold a live session of his mechanical engineering class. The first time, he ran the class from home, and the other times he ran the class at Tufts with a few students sitting with him and others on the join.me session. He recorded the session and loaded it to Trunk for later viewing.
