Future Leaders Initiative: Youth Programs

We believe in the power of the next generation to transform the world. Through the Future Leaders Initiative, Fletcher Executive Education partners with select international institutions to provide summer study opportunities for qualified students of law and global affairs.

Students participating in a Future Leaders program stay in Tufts University housing and receive college-level instruction in topics such as peace operations, humanitarian law, diplomacy and statecraft, and the role of force in international politics.

We are grateful to our recent partners, ESADE Law School in Barcelona, Spain, and Jindal School of International Affairs, O.P. Jindal Global University in India, for bringing their excellent students to our campus and providing the opportunity to experience Fletcher and prepare for a future career in leadership and global change.

Information for Students

We look forward to welcoming you to Fletcher! If you are registered for an Emerging Leaders Youth Program, please use the following links to prepare for your visit:

Housing: You should book your housing on your own through Tufts University Conference Services. The online reservation system opens on February 1, 2022. You can book a single room (for one person) or a double room (for two people). Bookings are made per room, so one person needs to pay for the booking, and cost-sharing should be discussed separately.

COVID-19 Policies: To participate in this program, you must be fully vaccinated in alignment with Tufts policy, with your final dose no later than two weeks prior to the start of the program. You will be asked to provide proof of vaccination before arrival. Given the changing nature of the global situation, policies are subject to change. Please monitor Tufts policies for campus visitors to ensure that you are in compliance. You can find updated policies here: coronavirus.tufts.edu/healthy-at-tufts

All participants must be in compliance with United States COVID-19 policies and travel requirements.

Masks are required for all indoor events on campus. You will be required to participate in surveillance testing while staying on campus.

Further information will be provided to you through your program directors. Please contact your program directors and teachers with questions.
