Financial Inclusion Strategy Coordination Specialist, Central Bank of Nigeria
Ms. Sophia Abu is a Financial Inclusion Strategy Coordination Specialist (FISCS) at the Central Bank of Nigeria and has seven years of central banking experience. Prior to joining the Financial Inclusion team, she worked in the Economic Development Unit of the Office of the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, providing technical assistance in the development of policies aimed at promoting real sector growth in the Nigeria. As an FISCS, her primary responsibility is the identification and development of new relationships while ensuring appropriate coordination of key partners in the implementation of the Nigerian National Financial Inclusion Strategy. The secretary of the Financial Literacy Working Group (FLWG), Ms. Abu, together with members of the FLWG, is tasked with improving the financial capability of Nigerians in order to improve their understanding of the concepts and risks associated with financial products and services.
