Joseph’s work involves monitoring the financial conditions and performance of the non-bank financial sector in order to identify emerging risks, which have implications for systemic stability, and developing appropriate proposals for financial sector supervisory policies to mitigate the identified risks.
The financial inclusion projects and activities Joseph has recently been involved in include the development of a Credit Market Monitoring Program, which will serve as a repository of qualitative and quantitative data that will enable the Bank of Zambia, and credit providers to monitor important credit market trends. He was also involved in the development of a Financial Inclusion Index to measure the relative level of financial inclusion in Zambia.
