Mrs. Miriam Kamuhuza is a Fulbright scholar, Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCCA) and holds a Master’s Degree in International Economics and Finance as well as Business Administration (MBA). She has vast knowledge in policy, regulation, and developments in both the domestic and international Payment Systems. She has 13 years central bank experience and has had the opportunity to participate in the development of the payment systems in Zambia as well as the regional payment systems under SADC and COMESA. Further, she has worked closely with the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), World Bank, United Nations Capital Development Fund and the Financial Sector Deepening Zambia on initiatives aimed at increasing Financial Inclusion in Zambia. Prior to joining the Bank of Zambia in 2002, Mrs. Kamuhuza worked for 4 years with Ernst & Young Zambia as a Senior Auditor.
